A SOLUTION TO A SOLUTION PROBLEM.!

a solution means that the X and Y coordinates make an equation true.
Like: y = -5x + 10
For example: you can plug in (1,0)
0 = -5(1)+ 10
0 = -5 + 10
0 = 5
NO SOLUTION.!

But if you plug in (2,0)
0 = -5(2) + 10
0 = -10 + 10
0 = 0
ONE SOLUTION.!

A system of a solution is when you have two equations and you have to solve one them to find out the coordinate of the first equation so you can plug it in the second eqution.

A "solution" to that equation it looks like twoo lines crossing each other, you have to shade the correct side of the eqution.

  2. Ah! YOu were doing excellent until that last half of the last sentence~ No shading. In a system of equations, not inequalities, the solution is where the lines intersect.

    Great examples Annie!
